Theophany

Good Shepherd Chapel, Abbotsford

The bells called the people to gather for the evening's celebration of Holy Theophany.

The celebrations began with the Blessing of the Waters, where Metropolitan Raffaele, Father Mark and Father Matthew blessed the Holy Water and re-consecrated the church and congregation by sprinkling the water to the four corners of the church. The people were then invited to fill their water bottles and drink from the Holy Waters.

Next, the liturgy continued and the gifts were brought to the alter. They were blessed, accompanied by the beautiful tones of the clergy singing. They shared communion and then communed the people.

Metropolitan Raffaele's homily spoke of the time Jesus went into the water and about the Holy Trinity.

Then we all went out the back for a snack.
