On 3rd September 2017, Father Raffaele traveled to Rome, Italy and was consecrated as Archbishop of Australia by Metropolitan Basilio, primate of Rome and co-consecrator Archbishop Theophilat of the Exarch of Ukraine.
There was much celebration in the Apostolic See which was Orthodox and by God's Grace, has been re-established by the Orthodox Christians of Italy. He enjoyed his time in Italy with the clergy, his family and friends.
